It may have taken several months longer than expected and several dates on the calendar, but I finally got to shoot engagement photos for Alex and Shawn, and, oh my gosh, they were so worth the wait.
This was my first session back amid coronavirus chaos, and it was so much fun. Alex and Shawn will get married at Union Station later this year, so we walked the outside of their venue for engagement portraits. Shooting the area and working with such a fun, laidback couple has me so excited for their October wedding date. Not to mention that they’re my most medical couple, so they’re a big deal! There’s nothing like a pandemic to remind you everyone in the medical field is a hero. I may not be curing cancer, but I’m photographing the people who are. You could say I’m pretty much Peter Parker if he wasn’t also Spiderman.
I digress.
I try and bring adequate jokes for some halfway genuine giggles to an engagement session, but Shawn and Alex needed no assistance. What you see below is pretty much exclusively self sustained joy & affection. Plus, look at that amazing jumpsuit against all the green and white. Easy laughs with such a kind and good looking couple under seventy degree sunshine. I’m filing this session away under: “Living the dream.”
