Last week I got to do something I haven’t done in a while: celebrate a senior! Karis just graduated and will attend Baylor in the fall, and although it took us a while with covid at hand, I’m so glad we got her on the calendar just before wedding season picked up for the rest of the year.

Senior sessions are so special. It’s often the first experience in front of a professional camera, and often the only time it’s all you. It’s the very first big change in season of life as you move away from home. What a special, unique thing to look back on and celebrate all the hard work that went into moving on. What a good way to mark the transition.

And senior ladies know how to work the camera. Karis is the perfect example. She was such a champ following instructions with all confidence and fun energy. I know I walked away with some bug bites, so she must have to, but she knew “it’ll be worth it!” It’s the best when clients know that even before they see behind the camera.

Karis, thank you for the best senior session at White Rock Lake. You are so fun to work with and beautiful in front of the camera – a true natural! I’m so excited for the start of your freshman year this fall. Baylor is so lucky to have you. 🙂
