The Velvet Taco love story has come to full fruition! Christina and Jon met in about my favorite way I’ve ever heard, and I wrote about it a little bit in their engagement session blog. Their wedding day was delayed, but so special when it finally arrived this September. It felt right on time. The day started with tequila shots and ended with a rose petal exit, and in between, they officially started their marriage.

Their design district, industrial setting was classy and classic. They chose navy, ivory, and hints of gold as their colors, and their photos feature their downtown hotel and Reunion Tower in the background. Christina looked flawless covered in her delicate, lacey gown. As her new sister in law later remarked, “She’s as beautiful on the inside as she looks on the outside.” They married under a floral arch and danced at the reception in the same room, flipped with new florals on the tables and tastefully decorated table settings.

Their day was full of family and friends cheering and supporting them, and it didn’t go without recognition. I know Christina appreciated her bride-squad, and Jon gave a thank you speech at the reception recognizing how special and big it was to have everyone come out and celebrate with them, given the times. Attendance alone means so much more when people come to love you mid pandemic; I’m with them – it’s a big deal to be celebrated by your people! I’m honored to have documented everything along the way.
