Hi there! Welcome to the blog, where emotion & beauty meet visuals though words. Stay a while and look around!

I distinctly remember the handful of weddings I attended as a kid. It felt like the most special occasion ever to listen through the ceremony, watch the bride & groom’s first dance as newlyweds, and eat yummy cake before hopping on the dance floor (or if you were a more shy kid like me, watching everyone hop on the dance floor). It all felt a little bit magic from little eyes.

Hannah & Phil have big wonderful families and lots of younger siblings, nieces, and nephews. They had bridesmaids and groomsmen, junior bridesmaids and groomsmen, flower girls, and ring bearers. They took so much care in including everyone, so each position was filled with not one but several important people. As I observed the kids throughout the whole day, I kept thinking how memorable it must have been from their perspectives, how magic it must have been from little eyes.

They were married by Phil’s dad on his mom’s birthday, and they took time during their reception to celebrate and honor her. They danced with their parents and took time to talk with all their guests. The room was filled until the very end of the night, including so many sweet families dominating the dance floor with kids on hip or in hand. It looked like luxurious love, to be in a room filled with that much loving family.

While the love from the day was all warm and cozy, this wedding also took the prize for chilliest of the year. I’ll give you the insider scoop and admit we were freezing for their portraits! Hannah wore a fur shawl and snuggled close to her husband. The newlyweds championed every minute of our portrait time, and they looked so good in the cold. Hannah and I both mentioned we’d been praying for no rain and forgot to mention the temperature. 😉

I knew Hannah & Phil’s day would be so special from the day we booked. They love, and value pictures, and that means a ton to me as their photographer. They even came down from California to sneak in their engagement session! I feel so privileged to capture everything from engagement to wedding day. From fiances to spouses. Hannah & Phil, thanks for trusting me with every good moment. I loved celebrating you.
