Ushering in the fall with another cool engagement session is among my favorite seasonal activities. There’s something about shooting right between seasons that feels exciting and refreshing. The outfits change up a little bit. The scenery begins to shift. And it for sure starts to feel different. Mackenzie & Thomas’s session was the perfect marker of summer turning fall. 

Flying in from Arkansas for a weekend filled with wedding planning to do’s, I was happy to be the final wedding activity on this couple’s list before returning back home to their sweet puppy (whom I was honored to meet via Zoom and will forever think about when I think of Mackenzie & Thomas). 

They chose Crescent Court as their location for engagement photos, and I’m so glad they did. Something like six years ago, I second shot my first wedding nearby and shadowed portraits taken in the same area. For years, a portrait from that wedding day was part of my Facebook cover photo. 

Although Crescent Court is special to me for that reason, I also loved it because it fit the the two of them so well. Both the vibe of the couple and their outfits fit our location perfectly. I think they made the best choice. 

Mackenzie & Thomas, thank you for finding time in your busy weekend for such a fun hour together! Not only do you both look like picture people, I think you’re crossing right into model territory. Just my humble opinion. Counting down to June with you!!
