Emily + Cole at Hickory Street Annex

A wedding day in the city brings a special kind of energy, and Emily & Cole are the perfect couple to represent Dallas well. From getting ready in an uptown hotel to going out after the reception dressed in their wedding attire, every moment of Emily & Cole’s day was fresh, fun, & absolutely beautiful.

The urban vibe for this couple began at their engagement session. We shot at a park with the skyline in the background and their dog, Scooby, in the foreground. Their wedding day really was a wonderful continuation of what we captured during their engagement. Their downtown venue featured twinkling lights against the background of the city. It felt magical walking in to everything all set up. Although Scooby couldn’t attend the celebration, they remembered him fondly with pictures on each cupcake. Precious and original. I could have never hoped to see so many Scoobys.

The dog is always a standout to me when it makes it to the wedding day in any form, but the florals really took the cake. Light blues, oranges, and creamy whites covered the venue from tables to twinkling fixtures. Magic.

From white slippers to Golden Goose tennies, Emily was all bridal and all cool girl. She was relaxed and joyful from the minute I walked in her hotel room, sharing sandwiches and champagne with all her ladies. Emily & Cole shared a first look on the balcony and managed to be the most stunning part of the pictures featuring Dallas in all its skyline glory. Later their band brought the party, and Emily ended up dancing on the stage with all her friends. Those are the moments that bring tears to my eyes – everyone having the time of their lives.

Emily & Cole, thank you for letting me join the best party celebrating the two of you and the beginning of your marriage. I love that this wedding felt so much like you, an absolute joy. Cheering for you two and Scooby always!
