Danielle + Nick at Stonecrest Venue

January weddings are sometimes marked by harsh cold weather, but Danielle & Nick got all the goodness of winter without any of the bad. The shining sun warmed us all during both portrait time and during their beautiful outdoor ceremony. Wine red and velvet spilled out over all their thoughtful details. And my personal favorite element of their wedding day: a special debut by their dogs.

I knew how much their pups meant to the couple – one dog was present at their engagement session, and they booked another session for the fall after adopting another. Knowing what Frank & Wally meant to Danielle & Nick made shooting them on their wedding day so special. I’m so glad we got to include them during portraits.

Portrait time wasn’t the only place you could find their fur babies on the wedding day though; Danielle had custom cufflinks made of each of their faces for Nick. How sweet of a surprise?! Their faces also decorated the signature drink menu where guests could choose the “Frank Winter Margarita” or the “Wally Ranch Water.”

Those details are just a few of so many thoughtfully created and beautifully executed pieces of Danielle & Nick’s day. I love how every part of the day felt so much like them. Danielle & Nick are funny, charming, and so much fun to be around. Their wedding day felt as welcoming and warm as they are themselves. What a sweet thing to document.

Danielle & Nick, I couldn’t be happier you chose me to walk alongside you from engagement to wedding day and document all the magic. You have been an absolute joy to get to know. I can’t wait to deliver every moment from your day. Send Frank & Wally all my love!
