The very best season of the year for an engagement session (in my opinion) is upon us, and that means spring colors and truly beautiful weather! It doesn’t take a park or a drive outside the city to feel all the spring vibes though.

For Nicole & Johnny’s session, we met downtown and walked the area close to their wedding venue – The Adolphus. I love this area because it’s so close to AT&T Discovery District, a fun place to shoot and a fun place to be. Nicole’s blush dress with Johnny’s blue suit pop so well in the city streets, and make these pictures feel the way it felt while we shot – like spring has sprung!

After walking downtown together, we stepped in The Adolphus to take some photos around the hotel in spaces downstairs. It was a busy, busy day in the hotel! But, we were able to work around the people and then shoot in the area upstairs where Nicole & Johnny will get married next January. I loved doing something so different and honoring what was important to them. And I love The Adolphus! We even ended the session at the bar, where I took a few last photos with their drinks and got to share one with them too. Definitely not something I usually get to do, and what’s more fun than sharing a drink with new friends?!

This was truly such a fun afternoon spent getting to know the sweetest couple. Counting down the days to January. 🙂
