Where do I begin with Mada & Rhett? Mada has been one of my closest friends since high school. In fact, we’ve only gotten closer since those first years as friends a solid decade ago now. She’s warm and supportive and can make anyone feel at home in themselves. Growing up with Mada has been so good.
Rhett came in college, and I remember all of us giggling about the boy she was texting upstairs at her parents’ house, probably over Mada’s grilled cheeses. Now it’s almost hard to remember a time before Rhett. He’s the truest compliment to all Mada is, and he can also make anyone feel at home in themselves. Spending time with the two of them makes me excited to watch them grow old as the hospitable, kind, and funny people they are together. Mada & Rhett with their two cats are already one of my favorite families.
For their engagement shoot, Mada wanted an urban vibe and was up for anything. She’s about the most natural person I know in front of the camera; shooting her is always my favorite so this session was a huge treat. We started in the middle of downtown surrounded by green trees and blue buildings. We ended just after sunset where I pulled out my flash and shot a little moodier than I normally get to.
Looking through these images makes me smile ear to ear. Full of personality, style, and love, they’re all I hope for any of my couples. Mada & Rhett, y’all are always my heroes. Tons of love to both of you and the little cats too.
