It’s 2026, baby! And what a way to kick off the year. Cold, but not too cold, winter weather and golden hour sun. Arlington Hall dressed up in twinkle lights and Christmas green garland. It felt like everything was on our side as Jenny and Cullen laughed their way through a truly beautiful portrait session.
You’ve probably come for a stunning couple in creamy golden light, but you’ll stay (scroll) for their genuine smiles and big personalities that shine straight through each and every image. I’ve even included some candids at the end, so stick around for high fives (word on the street is to marry your best friend!).
January first always carries promise to me. You might say New Year’s is my Super Bowl. So I’d love to share a little about what’s on my heart and mind for 2026 as a company.
As I look back on the past ten years, I’m so full of gratitude. The two things that come to mind as overwhelming are every friend and family member who’s encouraged me in my business or told me my pictures were beautiful – and every client who’s trusted me with once in a lifetime memories and moments. Through your affirmation, I’ve grown in skill, creativity, and capacity. Through your trust, I’ve grown in purpose and intent. Thank God for both and not just one or the other.
With big gratitude, I’m excited to approach a new year with new strategy to serve my clients well. Each wedding, each newborn, each family or nonprofit or special event – they’re precious to me. I’m excited to treat them with intentional weight and appreciation. I’m excited to steward my business really well.
One resolution I’ll share! I’ve said it before, but I’ll recommit in humility: this is the year I consistently blog. There’s so much goodness on my calendar already (Jenny + Cullen’s spring wedding day, for one!), and I’m full of joyful expectation for what the new year will bring.
