I spent only a brief amount of time with Emma and Phillips on this Thursday afternoon, but it was just enough time for them to change from bride and groom to husband and wife. From engaged to newlywed.

This ceremony was as intimate as it was sweet. I remember the priest talking about how when Emma and Phillips started planning their wedding, they couldn’t have anticipated what it would turn out to be – but God was unsurprised by it all; He knew the room they’d end up married in and each guest who would be present. It was so special to see marriage mean enough to begin it small, before only close family and God, and even a little sooner than planned! The intimacy of the ceremony was meaningful and reverent (which made it, even more an honor for me to be a part of), but still so full of love and joy.

Emma & Phillips, I am so excited to celebrate you on your anniversary, your second wedding. 😉 As sweet as this day was, I can’t wait to see all your guests cheer for you too. Happy marriage!!!
