Liza, Max, their sweet puppy (yes, puppy), and I got to spend an evening wandering Highland Park Village together to capture some special moments from engagement before their November wedding day. They have about the most well behaved puppy I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing, so we got some truly precious smiles from little Remmy all throughout the first half of our session with the baby. I can never say this enough – I’m delighted when the dog gets to join!
But Liza and Max had some pretty wonderful smiles themselves, and I didn’t have to use my high pitched voice to get them! I was just as happy to end the session with the three of us. They were as easy and breezy to photograph as they look in Liza’s white dress (all the best bridal vibes) and Max’s summer blue. I could have shot them all evening, but had to let them go to enjoy some Mi Cocina in the square after, well earned from being such grade A models for me.
I do always say this, but it’s just true – the engagement session has me so excited for their fall wedding day! There’s nothing better to put everyone at ease about loving their time around the camera. Luckily, couples tend to forget my jokes by the time we hit wedding day too, so I don’t have to pick where I use my best material. (And by best material I mean the singular joke I can retain).
Liza & Max, I can’t wait until November! We’ll have very different weather and Liza in a different beautiful, white dress, and I know we’ll have just as much fun during portrait time. 176 days out, woohoo!
