When you get married in Greece, capturing the location has got to one of the more important jobs of the photographer. I know this destination will always be so special to the bride & groom, so I tried to capture every detail, from the periwinkle sunrise to the Santorini blue ocean (to the friendly feral cats as they roamed). Lucky for us, everything in Santorini looks very Santorini. I was in heaven shooting every little thing.
The day before Leslie & Nick’s wedding, we woke up for sunrise and walked around the largely vacant square for a couple’s session. We shot against the backdrop of the white cityscape, bright flowers, and signature Greek architecture. Dream light with a fun couple against the backdrop of Santorini – not a big deal or anything.
I know the location was so special and the photos showcase how beautiful it all turned out, but this day wouldn’t have been anywhere near as magic without the village of twenty something people around the bride and groom. Everyone there traveled across the world to celebrate Leslie & Nick. Those are some all-in level friends & family. And Leslie and Nick are so worth it. After spending only a few short days together, I could see why their friends and family would travel internationally to cheer for their love. Watching them dance on a catamaran for hours and hours was over the top happy. I had chills constantly, and they come back every time I watch the highlights (All 37589 times).
Leslie & Nick, thank you for letting me in your hype crew to capture the most special occasion, and making me feel so welcome along the way. It was an honor to travel, to shoot, and to cheer you on. Opa always!!!!
