Alli + Jacob’s Spring Engagement Session in Highland Park

It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to blog an engagement session, and Alli and Jacob feel like the perfect place to start again! We had both sunshine and cloud coverage at different points during their Flippen Park engagement session, so I was able to use both the sun and flexibility from clouds – a rare situation and I loved taking advantage of!

If you can’t already tell, Alli and Jacob are a fun couple who keep each other laughing. Alli heard about me through one of my childhood best friends, and we discovered at the session how many other mutual friends we have in common (gig em😜). It’s safe to say we had a really good time, and they have me so excited for their July wedding date.

Although they are a joy to spend time with and the cutest couple to photograph, this session had a really special surprise that takes the cake for my favorite part: Alli and Jacob brought Miller Lites to share for a few photos, because they’re both gaining “Miller” as their new last name. The reason behind the change is a sweet story and I know the unique situation of both halves of the couple changing names will be a special experience to share together. Alli didn’t skip a beat in explaining how excited they were to use this as a reminder and talking point about Jesus and what it means to be adopted and loved. I’m so excited for them too.

Please take some time to scroll through this fresh spring session and enjoy the first taste of sunshine and warmth after this long winter!
