This cool morning walking downtown with Nikki & Ben felt like a breath of fresh air. We mixed up location and tried a brand new spot for me. It was so fun to walk the streets just before the city woke up and started really moving. “Cool” might be an exaggeration of the weather, but I’d say it was still our best case scenario for an August session.

Nikki, Ben, and I were at A&M at the same time, but we somehow never quite crossed paths. We have a million mutual friends and when I sat down to meet with them for the first time I immediately wished we’d known each other in college too. They’re the kind of people who make you feel comfortable right away. It’s a bummer we had to wait this long to meet, but being their wedding photographer is the next best thing – and the important thing is they found each other during our Aggie days. 😉

Nikki & Ben, thanks for waking up early and looking so good first thing in the morning! I had so much fun with both of you and look forward to the process of being your photographer here until wedding day and beyond. You are joys to be around and I feel lucky to document your love.
